Interview with 40 Glocc

Saturday, October 27th, 2007 By Emil Wagenius

What's up 40? How's everything going these days?

Everything is good just grinden it out.. Staying active and building my arsinal.

Tell us a little about how you first got into rapping.

Well, always had a passion for it and felt it was somethin I wanted to do as far as that and acting when I was a kid around 12 13teen yrs old. Found out it was a way I can express my self.

Who were your influences when you grew up?

Dr.Dre, N.W.A., Snoop, Mobb Deep, Easy E, Ice Cube, Mack10, 2Pac, Jay Z, Eminem, just to name a few.

You are still signed to Infamous/G-Unit, right?

Yea that's my team I run wit...

How's your Infamous solo debut album coming along?

Its coming a long really hott.. My best work yet

Do you have a release date for it?

Naw no realease date yet. I'm waiten for the fans to demand me. When the fans demand me enough I will drop the album. That's 4 sure.

Can you tell us who some of the producers and guest features are?

The producers are Havoc, Alchemist, Large Money Ent, and Dee&Dee Productions as far as features it will just be me and family and new talent.

And I heard that you are currently doing a mixtape with Tricksta and Late called "Street Hop". What can we expect from this?

U can expect street music from myself. And shit u could bump and feel too. I am what the streets missen. So its only right for me to keep the streets active.

Do you know when it will be out?

Umm naw I'm not sure but its coming real soon.

Except for your debut album and the "Street Hop" mixtape, are you working on any other projects at the moment?

Yea I'm workin wit my Zoo Babiez group. Them my lil homies. And I'm workin on a Tsunami vol.2 wit me and Kurupt. It's coming out dope as fukk and working wit my home girl gail gotti.

A lot of people are saying that Hip Hop is dead or that it's not what it used to be back in the day. What do you personally think about the current state of hip hop?

I don't think its dead I just feel like the artist of today are just cool wit maken asses bounce in the club and not given people shit that can listen to and be like damn! That was some real shit he said. Nobody. Talkin bout what's goin on in life no more that's hip hop. To me.

What do you think would "save" Hip Hop (or bring it back to what what it used to be)?

I think I would definatly be a savior myself. And anybody else that feels like me and expresses value of the world and everything in it. That's what hip hop is. To me. When u can entertain and send messages threw the music. To me the booty music or whatever u wanna call it is hip hop but only the entertainment side of it. We lackin on the subjects and message content of hip hop though.

And an album from 40 Glocc, maybe?

Definetly an album from big bad 40.. (myself).. hahahah!

That was all the questions I had for you. Anything you want to say to those who are reading this?

Yea holla at me on my myspace at www.myspace.com/40gloccgunit when I'm online I reply back to all my fans. And u can always hear new shit on my page. So send me them friend request and come get wit my movement.
